Say It With A Sign Vol 2 Sign Language Video for Babies and Young Children

A number of studies have shown that signing with a child at an early age may encourage the development of language and communication skills. Once a child begins to use signs and starts to understand how communication works, signing becomes a fun activity that will provide a solid foundation for speech and language.

Say It With A Sign Volume 2 teaches 45 signs in repetitive but visually interesting format that will hold your child’s attention while they learn to sign along. Wordlist for Volume 2:

Food- hungry, hot, cold, fruit, cheese, ice cream
Animals- horse, chicken, elephant, mouse, rabbit, bear
Home and Family- sister, brother, grandmother, grandfather, aunt, uncle, baby, friend
Clothes- shirt, pants, socks, shoes, jacket, hat
Body Parts- head, hair, arm, face, heart
Nature- flower, grass, tree, sun, moon, frog, butterfly
Bonus Words- help, good, bad, up, down, start, stop

3 Stars Say it with Sign Baby SIgn Language
I will have to give this DVD a thumbs down for toddlers. The program is too fast paced for even an adult to grasp the message. There are only a few signs that they show children actually doing them, the rest are done by adults. I think Talking Hands and Signing time series are much better because they go through the signs very slowly and show children doing the signs in many different settings. When I put my DVD player on slow speed, it was easier to comprehend the signs, but then the sound didn’t work. My two year old lost interest before the first of seven segments finished.

5 Stars excellent
we have been using a few different sign language series for our hearing child. This is by far better organized and can keep their interest as the children grow. The featured Signers are very good . I prefer this to the other Sign language learning series.

Laugh and Learn About Childbirth Lamaze and Beyond

‘Laugh and Learn About Childbirth - Lamaze and Beyond’ is the first video in a series of educational classes, and the only comprehensive childbirth course on the market. This DVD covers all aspects of labor and delivery, including pain relieving options, as well as the entire Lamaze training - including breathing techniques and natural childbirth.
Like the other two video classes in this series, ‘Laugh and Learn About Breastfeeding’ and ‘Laugh and Learn About Newborn Baby Care’, ‘Laugh and Learn About Childbirth’ is a comprehensive and fun way to learn everything you need to know to have a pleasant pregnancy, labor and delivery. The classes are taught in an entertaining way by award winning childbirth expert Sheri Bayles, RN in six easy to watch lessons, perfect for watching at your own pace in the comfort and convenience of your home.

5 Stars Childbirth DVD
My husband and I prefered this DVD over going to a lamaze class, really informative.

5 Stars Very prepared after this DVD
The DVD is a little lame but it helped me a lot. What some people say is condecending I thought was helpful. She lets you know when you can expect when you are really in labor. I feel she did a good job of describing how it feels. The breathing techniques helped me to deliver my son naturally

& epidural free!!

1 Star This isn’t Lamaze
Sure, the teacher is funny and likeable enough. And sure, if you know nothing about birth you might learn something from this video. But as a Lamaze-trained childbirth educator, DONA certified doula, and Birthing From Within mentor, I was disappointed with this video. Disappointed with the couple-of-minute quick coverage of comfort measures. Disappointed for a couple of times I saw probable product placement (for example, a particular cord blood banking company was highlighted longer than the comfort measures). Disappointed when I heard advice that goes against latest medical evidence. And especially disappointed with the number of times I heard the educator say something that made me cringe as it might disempower women. As an alternative or addition to a hospital class, I’d recommend women look into an out-of-hospital childbirth class who works for you, not the hospital - Lamaze, Bradley, Hypnobirthing, Birthing From Within, Birthworks…there are many to choose from. Read up on their philosophies, see what educators are available in your area, and choose one that works for you. If no classes are available or work with your schedule, there are great books out there about childbirth - I’d start with “Pregnancy Childbirth and the Newborn”, “The Birth Partner”, “Birthing From Within” or “Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth” depending on your plans for birth.

1 Star Take a class
Don’t waste your money. If she had been my instructor I would have asked for my money back

5 Stars Must for all fist time parents
Must buy for all fist time parents. Very explanatory and practical. Saved a lot of time and money rather than going to Lamaze classes. I have done a lot of research before buying this DVD and this is the BEST. It is truly Laugh and Learn. Highly Recommended.
