President Barack Obama is promising to deliver more than 600,000 jobs through his $787 billion stimulus plan this summer, with federal agencies pumping billions into public works projects, schools and summer youth programs.

Accident shuts down I-25 lanes (KOAA-TV Colorado Springs - Pueblo)

One lane of traffic along I-25 was closed in each direction tonight after an accident. A car traveling northbound hit the median just south of Circle Dr. The wheel fell off into the southbound lane, hitting another car. Police say no one was seriously injured. Both lanes are back open.

I-25 is backed up for miles in both directions north of Colorado Springs due to bridgework at the Northgate interchange. Travelers are advised to take Highway 83. Work will continue until Monday morning.

Saturday will be a very nice day with warm temperatures, gusty winds and mainly dry conditions. Cooler air will move into our area Sunday afternoon along with a better chance of thunderstorms, but the temperatures will still be very comfortable.
